Doing Everything Right and Still Not Seeing Results?
Medical Weight Loss in Louisville, CO
You eat well. You stay active. But your metabolism isn't cooperating the way it used to — and the usual advice to "just do more" isn't working.
That's because weight is driven by hormones, metabolism, sleep, stress, and genetics, not willpower alone. A smarter approach starts with data and medical guidance, not guesswork.
Radiance Medspa brings 20 years of trusted, medical-led care to Louisville — now applied to medical weight loss. This is a personalized, medically-supervised program designed to help you perform better today and protect your long-term health, built around your biology and your goals.
What Is Medical Weight Loss?
Medical weight loss is a medically-supervised program that treats weight as the complex, biological condition it is. After reviewing your health history, lab work, and goals, your Radiance provider builds a data-driven plan that may combine prescription medication, nutritional strategies, and lifestyle coaching — with ongoing oversight to keep it effective and safe. A credentialed provider evaluates you in person, adjusts your plan, and tracks your progress — unlike a hands-off online service.
Excess weight isn't just about appearance. Carrying extra weight is linked to a higher risk of conditions like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers — many of which affect both how long and how well you live. Treating it as the medical issue it is means you're investing in your long-term health, not just the number on the scale.
How Do GLP-1 Medications Like Semaglutide and Tirzepatide Work?
GLP-1 medications work with your body's own hormones. GLP-1 is a naturally occurring hormone released in the small intestine and colon after you eat. It signals fullness and helps regulate blood sugar. GLP-1 medications, including Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, mimic that signal — quieting hunger and easing cravings, helping you feel satisfied with less.
We tailor the medication to you: compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide (including personalized combination formulas), or brand-name options like Wegovy®, Zepbound®, Ozempic®, or Mounjaro® when appropriate. For patients who prefer a different route, we also offer non-GLP options (phentermine, naltrexone-bupropion, metformin, low-dose naltrexone) and supportive B12, lipotropic, or MIC injections.
Why Low-Dose? The Science Has Moved On
Most fears about these medications come from the old "start high, push through side effects" approach. The science has progressed. For many patients, a lower, carefully titrated dose produces steady, sustainable results with far fewer side effects — while supporting metabolic health. We aim for the lowest effective dose for you.
Is Medical Weight Loss Safe? What About Side Effects?
Under experienced medical supervision, this therapy is considered safe for appropriate candidates. The most common side effects are mild and digestive, and most likely when a dose climbs too fast — which is why we start low, adjust slowly, run baseline labs, and monitor you throughout. Serious side effects are uncommon but real, and that's the point of doing this as a true medical program rather than an online subscription.
Isn't Using Medication to Lose Weight Cheating?
No. Appetite and fullness are run by hormones — and for many people, the body's own "I'm satisfied" signals, including the hormone GLP-1, are blunted and don't fire the way they should. Hunger stays loud no matter how disciplined you are. GLP-1 medications reinforce that missing signal, giving your body the fullness cue it isn't producing strongly enough on its own — the starting point that finally makes healthy changes stick. No one tells a patient with high blood pressure to "just try harder" — weight is biological too. Used under expert care, these medications don't replace the work; they make the work pay off.

Am I a Candidate?
Most adults carrying extra weight — from 15–20 stubborn pounds to those managing obesity — are candidates; your consultation and labs give the real answer. Medication isn't right for everyone (for example, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with certain medical histories). Your provider will review all of it with you.

When Will I See Results — and How Long Do They Last?
Many patients notice changes in the first few weeks, with more meaningful results over the following months; individual results vary, and your provider sets realistic expectations. Durable results come from a maintenance plan, which we encourage and support long term.
